Damselfly
They have eyes that are separated, one on each side of their head.
They are usually found near shallow freshwater.
The most common Colorado damselfly species is the Familiar Blue.
They can be differentiated from dragonflies because they have thinner abdomens and when they rest, they hold their wings vertically and together.
As adults, they generally prey on small insects.
